“Echoes” was the title of the solo exhibition held at Art Studio La Marina in July 2025 by Paola Grizi, an Italian sculptor internationally recognized for her ability to evoke deep emotions through light and dynamic bronze and terracotta forms.
In Echoes, Grizi proposed a new dialogue between the artwork and its reflection: alongside her unmistakable sculptures, limited edition aluminum panels were exhibited. Though derived from sculptural details, these panels assert themselves as autonomous presences — true visual emanations that expand the material into a new iconic and perceptual dimension. The artist offered a sensorial invitation, never assertive, and often capable of sowing fertile uncertainty in the viewer.

Each panel is an echo, a threshold, a transition between sculpture and its symbolic resonance. A silent narrative that amplifies the sculptural gesture, revealing unexpected trajectories.
The title itself — Echoes — suggests waves, reflections, transformations: a formal and conceptual vibration that continues beyond the artwork, between presence and trace, origin and metamorphosis.

Paola Grizi grew up in an artistically inclined family, with a grandfather who was a painter and sculptor and an aunt who was a ceramist. Graduating with honors in literature, and a freelance journalist, she worked in publishing and journalism before devoting herself professionally to sculpture. In 2014 she won 1st prize at the 3rd International Biennial Competition of Artistic Ceramics in Ascoli Piceno.
In 2014, 2015, and 2021, she was invited by the Chinese government to represent Italy at the China Changchun International Ceramics Symposiums, where she created works now on permanent display. In 2015 she received the special public award at the 35th CICA International Competition in L’Alcora (Spain) and was invited to join the jury for the 36th edition in 2016. That same year, she was selected by the Pontifical Gregorian University for a contemporary art project at St. Peter’s Church in Cologne, Germany. She currently collaborates with Casart in Paris for the international production and distribution of her bronze sculptures, including monumental works.
Her career includes participation in high-profile international exhibitions, such as “Marciano Contemporary” (Paris, June 6–30, 2024), “Bel Air Fine Art – The Language of Bronze” (Geneva, May 12–June 8, 2023), and “Le Jardin d’Étretat” (Normandy, May 17–November 1, 2019).Her bronze and terracotta works are displayed in museums and galleries across Europe, Asia, and America.
